‘Tell me you love me’, Jung Woo-sung’s first melodrama in 11 years, to be aired for the first time in November

Genie TV's original 'Tell Me I Love You' (original Japanese TV drama 'Tell Me I Love You' (written by Eriko Kitakawa, produced by TBS Television)), which will be released for the first time in November, is about Cha Jin-woo (played by Jung Woo-sung), a painter who speaks with his hands, and listens with his heart. It is a classic melodrama about the silent love of actress Jeong Mo-eun (played by Shin Hyun-bin). The story of a man and a woman who complete their love using their eyes as language and facial expressions as confessions truly taps into the emotions of viewers.
Above all, expectations are high for the meeting between the ‘Emotion Maker’ production team and the ‘Melodrama Optimization’ actors. In particular, it immediately became a hot topic simply because it was the first melodrama chosen by Jung Woo-sung, an icon of the era and a 'melo master', after 11 years. Shin Hyun-bin's presence with a different emotional depth adds strength and makes drama fans even more excited. Here, director Kim Yun-jin of 'That Year We Were', who left a mark in youth romance, and writer Kim Min-jung, who showed off her sensuous writing skills through 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds', join forces to complete a deeply emotional melodrama that I haven't seen in a long time.
The movie ‘The Eraser in My Head’, which is called a melodrama bible, and the masterpiece ‘Padam Padam…’ which is still talked about so far. Jung Woo-sung, who returns to the melodrama genre 11 years after 'The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats', transforms into a painter with hearing impairment. Jeong Mo-eun, who comes to Cha Jin-woo's quiet world as if by fate, is a character who faces a big change. Cha Jin-woo's daily life, which used to fill his own world, is now filled with Jeong Mo-eun. Expectations are focused on the new 'life melodrama' that Jung Woo-sung, who has written an all-time legend, will complete with deeper emotions.
Jung Woo-sung said, “In the play, Jin-woo is hearing impaired. Through Jin-Woo, we, who communicate through sound language, understand how well and accurately we convey the words of others under the pretext of using the same language, how this works in love between opposite sexes, and whether we are communicating incorrectly. “It is a work that contains concerns about ‘communication,’” he said. “It is a work that shared many stories over a long period of time before being produced as a drama. As an actor who put great wishes into the production, I am truly grateful and happy. We are doing our best to convey Jinwoo's quiet yet loud vibrations to the hearts of our viewers. “We ask for your interest,” he said, expressing his special feelings.
The transformation of Shin Hyun-bin, who has extraordinary inner strength, is also noteworthy. Expectations are rising for his new appearance as he continues to shine as a leading actor in well-made dramas such as the 'Wise Doctor's Life' series, 'People Who Look Like You', and 'The Youngest Son of a Chaebol Family'. Shin Hyun-bin played the role of Jeong Mo-eun, who dreams of becoming an actress. Jeong Mo-eun is an honest and solid person who is constantly challenging herself to achieve her first dream in life. At the new starting line, she meets Cha Jin-woo and falls in fateful love. Shin Hyun-bin realizes true love in the whirlpool of emotions she experiences due to Cha Jin-woo, and delicately depicts the emotional lines of 'Jung Mo-eun', who grows as an actor. In addition, expectations are higher than ever for the emotional synergy that Jung Woo-sung and Shin Hyun-bin will create.
Shin Hyun-bin said, “I hope you will enjoy the warm story and fresh excitement that only our drama has through the two people who understand and love each other even though they speak different languages. “We are working hard to create a good work until the end, so please show your interest and expectations.”
Meanwhile, Genie TV's original drama 'Tell Me You Love Me' will be released for the first time in November through Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, and ENA.
