Kim Seon-geun, former KBS announcer, was eliminated from Mr. Trot 2

Kim Seon-geun, former KBS announcer, expressed his thoughts on appearing in ‘Mr. Trot 2’.

In a phone interview with Ten Asia on the 6th, Kim Seon-geun expressed his feelings about appearing on the stage of 'Mr. Trot 2'.

He said, "In fact, I wasn't nervous on stage. I guess it's because I'm so good at performing." Kim Seon-geun appeared on stage as the first participant in the workplace section of TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot 2', which aired on the 5th.

He said he worked in a theater company before becoming an announcer. Kim Seon-geun said, "I always dreamed of becoming an entertainer. When I was young, I did musicals and plays. I wanted to show my talent. That's why I chose to appear in 'Mr. Trot 2'."

He continued, "I think I was more nervous about the stage preparation process. There were so many things to think about outside of the song, such as preparing stage props and costumes. Fortunately, Mr. Trot 2 gave me a lot of advice. I was able to give a lot of advice in terms of stage movement and sound. “In detail,” he added.

Appeared in ‘Mr. Trot 2’, an exciting challenge. The song he chose was singer Nam Jin's 'Nest'. However, they failed to advance to the finals. Jang Yoon-jeong, who co-hosted the program at KBS, encouraged him by saying, "He's a very sorry and cautious person, but he worked really hard."

Kim Seon-geun expressed his gratitude towards Jang Yun-jeong. He said, “(Jang) Yoon-jeong is someone who has taken great care of me since I left KBS.”

He also said, "When I told him I was going to declare free, he said that he would need help when I came out. First of all, I have to show something to show that I am confident. If I get help, I think it will be after that."

Lastly, Kim Seon-geun expressed his will to broadcast. He said, "Once I make a decision, I tend to implement it immediately. I don't look back. Right now, I really want to broadcast. I have the confidence to do a good job no matter what I entrust with it." He added, "I want to become a comfortable person. A person who doesn't feel uncomfortable when you see him. “I will come to you as a broadcaster who naturally permeates you,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Kim Seon-geun joined KBS in 2014. In the meantime, we have hosted various programs such as ‘Entertainment Relay’, ‘Good Morning Korea Live’, and ‘Immortal Songs’. In addition, he worked with Jang Yoon-jeong as the MC for 'I Like the Song', following in the footsteps of his senior Do Kyung-wan.

He left KBS in September of last year. The reason is to appear on broadcasts without hurdles. Afterwards, in November of last year, he signed an exclusive contract with Saeng Saeng Entertainment, which includes singer Kim Ho-joong.
