Singer and musical actor Tei mentioned a dizzying experience while performing the musical 'Ludwig: Beethoven the Piano'.

On February 1, Tay told various stories about the musical 'Ludwig: Beethoven the Piano' at Daehakro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

'Ludwig: Beethoven the Piano' is a work that sheds light on the human side of Beethoven, the world's greatest composer. It is an original musical that dramatically captures Beethoven's intense agony about his musical talent between admiration and jealousy for Mozart.

Tay plays Ludwig in the play. Ludwig is a young man from Beethoven's youth who struggles with self-doubt and suffering, denying everything including his dreams, piano, and life. 'Ludwig: Beethoven the Piano' is currently in its 4th year, starting with its premiere in 2018. Tay has been appearing since the reenactment in 2018.

On this day, Tei confessed, "I said that I needed to go deeper with my current level and training. So, I fell into it to the point where I had to set up a practice room near my dorm during practice. Of course, there were parts where I had to do that, but it was very difficult to get out."

He continued, "I should say that I am preparing my heart now. I have found a way that I don't usually put out. The preparation stage before going to Beethoven was extremely long. Now, I am in 'Tei' and the moment I see the lights (on stage), I go in. “There is skill,” he added.

Tay said, "I shed a lot of tears when I walk out (to the backstage) after the stage is over. As soon as I come out and see the staff, I immediately come to my senses. I immediately wipe my tears with a tissue. I don't know if it's right or not, but I feel more at ease. I can use my energy on stage. “We have stockpiled as much as we can,” he explained.

In addition, Tay said, "'Ludwig: Beethoven the Piano' is a difficult work. On the day I work on it, I make more determinations like 'I'm going to lose my voice again' and 'I need to control it better' compared to other musicals. 'Ludwig: Beethoven the Piano' is a difficult work. “We have to show madness through ‘The Piano.’ The degree of madness varies depending on the condition,” he said.

Tay said, "The part that always bothers me is the part where I have to come out when I'm reaching my peak on stage. That can't or shouldn't make me comfortable. I'm nervous. It's part of actually performing and I'm always on stage so I have to control my moisture." “It’s difficult,” he said.

Tay said, "I once had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the day. Around the first hour, I suddenly thought, 'Huh?' and then I thought, 'This is crazy, I need to finish quickly.' In fact, it's difficult to control moisture. 'Ludwig: Beethoven the “The actors who play ‘Piano’ also have a hard time,” he said.

Not only that, he said, "I have no choice but to endure it. If you feel like you're sweating even though you haven't done anything, that's the case," causing laughter. Tay hinted, "I have to drink as little water as possible. I resolve everything before the performance. I empty my body and mind. I go out (on stage) without even drinking a sip of water. That's all I drink on stage."

Meanwhile, 'Ludwig: Beethoven the Piano' will be performed at Yes24 Stage Hall 1 until March 12.
