Yoo Ah-in has been booked by the police and is being investigated on charges of habitually taking the psychotropic drug propofol and inhaling marijuana. The police conducted a quick urine test on him upon his arrival at Incheon International Airport on the 5th, collected his hair, and requested analysis from the National Institute of Forensic Science.

Recently, the National Institute of Scientific Investigation confirmed that it had conveyed to the police the analysis results that three types of narcotic substances were detected in Yoo Ah-in's hair. Propofol, which was suspected of habitual use, was tested, as well as marijuana, which tested positive in urine, and another third drug.

In the case of urine, only drugs used for a short period of time can be identified, but in the case of hair, drugs that have been used for up to a year can be identified, which is considered to be more accurate.

The police, who also secured Yoo Ah-in's cell phone, plan to call him in as a suspect and interrogate him soon as soon as the digital analysis results are released.

Previously, Minister of Food and Drug Safety Oh Yoo-jeong said, “The person caught by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is Eom Hong-sik, not Yoo Ah-in.” Yoo Ah-in’s real name was mentioned. He added, "There is more than 600 million pieces of data in the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's integrated drug management system," and said that the suspicion of Yoo Ah-in's use of propofol was revealed through the system.

The agency, UAA, told MBC, "We have not received any official information from the police, but we plan to be faithfully investigated as soon as the schedule is set."
