Kim Jaejoong explains the hundreds of millions of fines

On the 9th, an official from Kim Jae-joong's agency, C-JeS Entertainment, told Ten Asia, "During the 2020 tax audit, some of the profits generated from Japanese activities were omitted, resulting in additional taxes, and we have completed paying the additional tax of 100 million won."
He continued, "At the time, I reported taxes on sales and paid them faithfully, but there was a timing difference in the settlement process while I was traveling between Korea and Japan, and it was determined that some of the amounts reported as necessary expenses were not related to the business, so additional taxes were incurred. “I paid my taxes right away,” he added.
An official said, "This was simply due to differences in the interpretation of tax laws that distinguish between business and private expenses, and there was no intention whatsoever."
Previously, New Daily reported that Kim Jaejoong underwent an irregular tax audit in 2020 and had taxes collected.
