‘Chosun Lawyer’, who else will do it if not Woo Do-hwan?

In MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'The Joseon Lawyer', which premiered last week and ranked first in news topical dramas and second in most topical dramas, Woo Do-hwan takes on the role of Kang Han-soo, a foreign branch office worker, and is further upgraded from his sly and realistic appearance to his anger-filled desire for revenge. He captivated viewers with his acting skills.
First, Woo Do-hwan's visuals were outstanding from his first appearance in 'The Joseon Lawyer', his comeback film after being discharged from the military. Returning to a historical drama after a long time since the drama 'My Country', his visuals in pastel-toned hanbok boasted a unique warmth. In the farewell scene, he displayed a confident elegance and even had a visual chemistry that made you feel excited with Kim Ji-yeon (playing Yeon-ju), showing off his appearance as a visual foreigner in every scene, eliciting the exclamation, 'It's Woo Do-hwan, after all.'
His presence, which leads not only the visuals but also the colorful story, was even more noticeable in terms of the genre of the drama, which was the first historical legal drama. In the lawsuit scenes with various stories, Woo Do-hwan skillfully digested many lines and solidly portrayed the character Kang Han-soo, who has brilliant speaking skills and wit. From the appearance of the best foreign branch of Joseon, who masters all laws, to the shameless appearance of adding a little trickery, it is solidly completing the interesting elements that can only be felt in 'Joseon Lawyer'.
The source of this strong presence that draws you in to the play is Woo Do-hwan's passionate performance that is worth believing and watching. He elaborately portrays the completely opposite sides of Kang Han-soo, an extremely realistic and sly outsider who only works if money comes in, and Kang Han-soo, a human being full of obsession for revenge. In particular, in the last two broadcasts, Woo Do-hwan's vocalization and desperate look in his eyes as he expressed the anger he had been enduring towards Jang Dae-bang (played by Lee Jun-hyuk) provided an overwhelming sense of immersion. The sight of Hansoo recalling past pain and suffering from nightmares makes one feel sad, and expectations are focused on the lively acting he will deliver in the future.
Episode 3 of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Chosun Lawyer', where Woo Do-hwan's colorful passionate acting can be seen, will be broadcast at 9:50 pm today (7th).
