Yoo Ah-in, second summons due to drug scandal imminent
Actor Yoo Ah-in's (real name Uhm Hong-sik, 37) drug scandal spread to his acquaintances. Four acquaintances, including a close friend of the writer and a YouTuber, were booked.
On the 3rd, SBS '8 News' reported that Yoo Ah-in's acquaintances had been converted into suspects in connection with the drug scandal. '8News' said, "A writer who graduated from an art school, an American man, and a YouTuber, with whom Yoo Ah-in had shown a close relationship, were reference persons at the beginning of the investigation, but their identities were changed after the circumstances of helping or directly administering drugs to Yoo Ah-in were confirmed." “It has changed,” he said. The acquaintances of Yoo Ah-in mentioned in the news are people who entered the country together with Yoo Ah-in when he entered the country after completing his trip to the United States on February 5, and are said to have maintained a close relationship with Yoo Ah-in.
It was also reported that some of these acquaintances were caught using drugs with Yoo Ah-in or prescribing zolpidem for him. A maximum of 28 tablets of 10mg zolpidem can be prescribed per person, and police believe that Yoo Ah-in received prescriptions on his behalf through acquaintances.
Additionally, '8 News' added that some people tested positive for marijuana during an additional search and seizure of the residences of these acquaintances at the end of last month.
Yoo Ah-in is being charged with a total of five types of drugs, including propofol, marijuana, cocaine, ketamine, and zolpidem.
The police are planning to reinvestigate Yoo Ah-in soon and plan to complete the investigation within this month. There is even talk of a delayed investigation regarding this.
Meanwhile, Yoo Ah-in apologized during the last police investigation, saying, "Personally, I think I fell into the wrong swamp of self-justification by claiming that my deviant actions did not harm anyone." He continued, "I am sorry for the delay in expressing my position. It may be very uncomfortable to see me like this, but I want to use these moments as an opportunity to live healthy moments that I have not been able to live before. I am truly sorry for disappointing you. “It does,” he said.
