Reality Show Shocker: Choi Go-gi Reveals Longtime Girlfriend on TV

Choi Go-gi, the ex-husband of creator Yu Catnip, has publicly introduced his girlfriend of five years on television for the first time.

On the October 7th episode of TV Chosun's variety show 'X's Private Life,' a preview featured Choi Go-gi and Yu Catnip, who divorced six years ago, appearing together. During the episode, Choi surprised everyone by sharing moments from a date with his girlfriend, whom he has been dating for five years.

In the released footage, Choi is seen walking arm-in-arm with his girlfriend. He mentioned, "I'm here to meet someone very important," sparking speculation on set about a possible family meeting. Yu Catnip, visibly taken aback, questioned, "Should I even be watching this?" piquing viewers' curiosity.

Since their divorce, Choi has been raising their daughter alone, expressing the challenges of single parenting by saying, "Raising a child on my own is tough." Yu Catnip, watching a video of Choi and their daughter's daily life, commented, "You're doing well," with a subtle expression.

Previously, the two had drawn criticism from netizens after appearing in a YouTube teaser video last month, showing deepened emotional rifts. Online comments included, "They seem to get along well enough to appear on YouTube together, so why do this for a show?" and "How much are they getting paid to appear?"

Choi Go-gi and Yu Catnip married in 2016 and had a daughter but separated after four years. They gained attention in 2020 by appearing on TV Chosun's 'We Got Divorced.'
