Yoon Hyun-sook Shares Update on Type 1 Diabetes Battle

Singer and actress Yoon Hyun-sook has shared an update on her battle with Type 1 diabetes.

On October 7, Yoon took to her Instagram to post a photo with the caption, "Workout but.. well, that's how it goes."

In the photo, Yoon is seen exercising while holding a health drink. She candidly shared, "I planned to work out, but my blood sugar isn't cooperating," adding, "With hypoglycemia hitting, I'll just drink this and take a break," revealing her struggles with maintaining her exercise routine.

Last year, Yoon revealed that she had been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. She explained, "My weight dropped to 38 kg. I almost experienced cardiac arrest as my heart muscles weakened."

Born in 1971, Yoon Hyun-sook is 54 years old this year. She debuted in 1992 with the co-ed group ZAM and later became a member of the girl group COCO, also pursuing a career in acting.
