The entertainment industry and franchises set out to erase traces of ‘Lim Chang-jung’
The sell-off atmosphere continues towards singer Lim Chang-jung, who was implicated in a stock price manipulation gang originating from SG Securities.

On the 14th, an article titled 'Lim Chang-jung's franchise status' was spread in online communities.

The author said, “I don't know why the name was left out and it became a local name. If you know, please let me know. “I passed by this place often, but I took a picture of it under a different name,” he said, attaching the photo he took. In the photo, the Im Chang-jeong Grilled Pork Belly Franchise, located in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, appears to have recently removed Lim Chang-jeong from its business name and replaced it with the local name.

The 'Im Chang-jeong Honey Misutgaru Makgeolli' sold at the restaurant was so popular that it began selling it in partnership with 7-Eleven. In fact, the initial production volume of 100,000 units was sold out, leading to a good response, but sales are planned to be completely discontinued once inventory is exhausted.

Previously, it was reported that soju named after Lim Chang-jung's hit song would also be discontinued. Last February, Lim Chang-jung launched 'Soju Hanban', a premium distilled soju with 7-Eleven, but decided not to sell it after inventory was exhausted in the aftermath of the stock price manipulation scandal.

Additionally, Lim Chang-jung was scheduled to perform at a local concert held at Bonghwangdae in Nodong-dong, Gyeongju on the 12th, but the organizers excluded him. An official from the Gyeongju Cultural Foundation explained at the time, “As the related suspicions have not yet been resolved and it is an event attended by an unspecified number of people, we took into consideration the safety issues of the performers.”

When it became known that he invested about 7.8 billion won and even gave away his stock account to a stock price manipulation group, Lim Chang-jung claimed that he was a victim, saying that he also had negative profits.
