Comedian Lee Bong-won Opens Up About Wife Park Mi-sun's Battle with Breast Cancer

Comedian Lee Bong-won recently became emotional while recalling his wife Park Mi-sun's battle with breast cancer.

On October 8, SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' released a teaser titled "'We Have to Win-Win' Lee Bong-won and Kim Byung-hyun's Sausage Bundle Sale Negotiation Attempt." In the teaser, Lee Bong-won showcased his impressive culinary skills, highlighting his expertise as a veteran restaurant CEO.

During the episode, guests at the restaurant inquired about Park Mi-sun's health, asking, "Is Mi-sun doing well?" and "Has her health improved?" Lee Bong-won responded, "Suddenly, my wife wasn't doing well, so we spent time going to the hospital together for treatment," as he teared up.

Previously, Park Mi-sun appeared on the tvN talk show 'You Quiz on the Block' last year, where she discussed her health. She stated, "There are various types of breast cancer, and I can't use the word 'cured.' I have to live cautiously and continue getting check-ups."

Lee Bong-won and Park Mi-sun have been married since 1993 and have a son and a daughter. Recently, Park Mi-sun announced her return to broadcasting and shared that she has started studying insurance for a commercial shoot, despite her ongoing battle with cancer.
