Lee Jung-jin, found dead 'shocked'
In the 11th episode of Channel A's Monday-Tuesday drama 'The Masked Queen', which aired on the night of the 29th, Song Jae-hyuk (Lee Jung-jin) was found dead after being imprisoned by four 'Masked Queens'.
On this day, Jae-yi Do (played by Sun-ah Kim), Yoo-na Yoo (played by Yoon-ah Oh), Yu-jeong Joo (played by Eun-jung Shin), and Hae-mi Yoon (played by Yoo Seon-min), who were swept into the vortex of life due to Je-hyeok’s atrocities, discussed how to punish him. Jae-yi said to his friends who were willing to kill Je-hyeok with their own hands, saying, "We can't put that dirty blood on our hands directly." Remembering Jehyeok's past, when he ran away to the United States with gangster money 10 years ago, Yuna came up with a good idea.
First, Yuna went to Jeong Ki-ho (played by Yang Taek-ho), the son of the former mayor of Tongju, and instead of giving him part of his father's land in Tongju, she urged him to tell the gangsters who were swindled by Je-hyeok 10 years ago that he had returned. Jae-yi and Hae-mi aroused the interest of those who leaked the information that Jae-hyeok would end Je-hyeok two days later by using Je-hyeok's spy, secretary Choi, and Ace Bar's president Jeong.
As Jae-yi predicted, Je-hyeok, who found out about this fact, declared that he would kill Jae-yi first, and just in time the next day, when he received a text message from Yuna asking him to exchange the certificate of birth mother with the land of Tongju, Je-hyeok showed a smile of repentance, creating a tense atmosphere.
The day of the long-awaited decisive battle had dawned. Returning home after being discharged, Yoo-jeong succeeded in deceiving Je-hyeok by pretending to know nothing and being friendly. She even brought a handkerchief and quince tea, which is good for the windpipe, and reassured Jehyeok by saying, “I can do anything for this child.”
On the other hand, Choi Kang-hoo (played by Oh Ji-ho) held 'Lady's Night' at S restaurant to create an alibi for the four people on the day of the incident. In addition, through an agency, he showed meticulousness in preparing the substitutes for Jaei, Yuna, Yujeong, and Haemi.
At 9 p.m., Yuna headed to the Kangbo Hotel where she was supposed to meet Jehyeok. Yoo-jeong accidentally witnesses the arsonist in the bathroom, and Jae-yi realizes that it was a ruse by Je-hyeok to lure her to the hotel. Jae-yi moved to the hotel where he was at Je-hyeok's will, and Je-hyeok ordered the head of the orphanage who was following her to cause a car accident and kill Jae-yi.
However, Jae-yi already expected that Je-hyeok would hurt him, and succeeded in evading the head of the nursery school with the same vehicle prepared in advance as the office manager. Jae-hyeok was taken aback when Jae-yi greeted him instead of Yuna, and Jae-yi handed him a drink saying that he would give him one last chance, admitting his wrongdoing and turning himself in to the police.
Jae-hyeok ignored Jae-yi's last offer of a toast, and he threw arsenic and poured alcohol from the glass onto the table. Jae-hyeok sprayed arsenic on Jae-yi, who was enraged, and wiped his face with a handkerchief before collapsing.
After regaining consciousness in a restrained state, Je-hyeok made a last-ditch effort after realizing that he had fallen into the trap of Jae-yi, Yuna, Yoo-jeong, and Hae-mi. Je-hyeok tells Jae-yi about the truth about the incident from 10 years ago, “You will find out soon. The meaning of my words when you said you were pitiful”, amplified curiosity by leaving meaningful words. Hae-mi injected him with medicine and made him pass out, and in the meantime, Je-hyeok's atrocities spread throughout the world as the gang of four had planned.
While Jehyeok was sleeping, the gang of four, who succeeded in bringing him down, decided to return to the hotel when it was time for him to wake up. Just in time, Jae-yi received a call from the office manager that Je-hyuk had died at the hotel, and his friends were at a loss for words when they heard the news of Je-hyeok's death. As the silence passed, Yuna asked, "After we left the hotel together, did anyone go back to the hotel?" At that moment, photos of the four people who revisited the hotel after imprisoning Je-hyeok were sent to each of them, shocking them with a creepy twist ending.
