"The choreography in high heels, I kept getting hurt"... BLACKPINK Jennie, direct explanation for criticism of ‘dancing roughly’
Interview with Jennie and Dua Lipa on BBC Podcast

Jenny appeared on the BBC podcast of British pop star Dua Lipa, which was released on the 14th (local time), and talked about the process of growing up as a representative K-pop girl group and the burden.
Jennie explained about performing the choreography while wearing high heels. Jennie said, "I kept getting hurt during the performance. It was stressful. It was like falling over and over again."
At the same time, Jennie explained, "I want to say that I didn't know how to control my body," and "I've learned to take care of my body since the pandemic." “I wanted to be honest,” said Jennie, “I wanted to let fans know that I was in the stage of learning about myself.”
Criticism of not only Jenny but also Blackpink 'dancing roughly' has been raised steadily since the past. This is the first time he has spoken about this, and Jennie explained that there were frequent injuries in the background, and that those injuries were caused by choreography wearing high heels.
Jenny confessed that it was a difficult environment to maintain her identity as a trainee for 6 years, and that she suffered burnout after debuting. In response, Dua Lipa referred to it as 'survival of the fittest', saying it was similar to what actors and musicians do during auditions.
Dua Lipa introduced Jenny as her friend and said she liked the way Blackpink promoted Korean culture. Dua Lipa and BLACKPINK collaborated on 'KISS AND MAKE UP' in 2018.
