On Choo Sung-hoon's YouTube channel, a video titled 'Visited Kwangya with My Niece Aeri-chan (ft. Macho turned aespa fan)' was uploaded.
In the video, Choo expressed his surprise at receiving a direct message from a famous artist like Giselle on social media back in April of last year. The production team noted that due to their busy schedules, it took a year for the meeting to happen, adding to the excitement of the occasion. Despite his tough image, Choo presented Giselle with a bouquet of flowers, admitting he felt awkward and shy, showing a softer side.
Their conversation deepened around their shared background in Tokyo, Japan. Choo inquired about Giselle's family, who are currently residing in Tokyo, revealing her roots.
Giselle confessed to watching all of Choo's YouTube videos, feeling a close connection as familiar Japanese neighborhoods appeared in them. When past messages from Giselle, mixing Korean and Japanese, were revealed, the atmosphere turned warm, with Choo affectionately calling her 'Aeri-chan,' showing their closeness.
Their mutual interest in sports also played a key role in their connection. When Giselle asked if there was any sport he couldn't do, Choo confidently replied that while he might not excel academically, he could perform well in various sports like basketball and volleyball.
Giselle responded by sharing her own athletic background, having participated in track and field, basketball, and volleyball during her school days, and expressed her interest in watching martial arts matches. Impressed by Giselle's athletic history, Choo acknowledged her natural athletic talent, and they bonded over their shared passion for sports, strengthening their special connection beyond their Tokyo roots.
