Netflix's 'Yoo Jae-suk Camp' Promises Laughter and Adventure with Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Kwang-soo, Byun Woo-seok, and Ji Ye-eun

Netflix's new variety show 'Yoo Jae-suk Camp' is set to premiere on May 26, featuring Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Kwang-soo, Byun Woo-seok, and Ji Ye-eun in a laughter-filled camping adventure.

'Yoo Jae-suk Camp' is a group camping variety show where novice camp manager Yoo Jae-suk, along with unpredictable staff members Lee Kwang-soo, Byun Woo-seok, and Ji Ye-eun, engage with guests in a fun-filled escape from everyday life. Yoo Jae-suk, known for his impeccable hosting skills, takes on the role of a somewhat clumsy camp manager, promising a unique and entertaining experience. Following the success of the quirky guesthouse variety show 'The Great Escape', Netflix teams up with director Jung Hyo-min's team for this new 'guesthouse variety' show, drawing significant attention.

The highlight of the show is undoubtedly the 'chaotic' camp operation led by Yoo Jae-suk, who is trying his hand at being a 'camp manager' for the first time, along with eager but somewhat clumsy staff members Lee Kwang-soo, Byun Woo-seok, and Ji Ye-eun. The recently released stills showcase a lively and cheerful atmosphere, hinting at the delightful team chemistry. Yoo Jae-suk's unique management philosophy, 'The guest is king, and so am I,' promises a special time for viewers to escape their daily routines and enjoy the synergy of 'Team Yoo Jae-suk'. With a 24-hour packed camp schedule already revealed, curiosity is piqued about the high-intensity events Yoo Jae-suk and his team will face.

Yoo Jae-suk shared his thoughts, saying, “I was very nervous and curious about what would happen. The moments when people from different walks of life came together to play games, chat, and eventually become one, laughing and enjoying themselves, are the most memorable. I hope viewers feel like they are part of the camp and enjoy watching it.”

Lee Kwang-soo expressed his excitement about joining the show, saying, “I thought it would be fun from the moment we started recruiting guests, and I was thrilled and excited to be part of it.” He added, “For me, it was like a 'pause' in my life, and I hope viewers can feel a sense of returning to their childhood while watching the guests, who have lived intense lives, forget everything and enjoy the camp.”

Byun Woo-seok shared his excitement, saying, “I still can't believe I get to work with Yoo Jae-suk and wear the same name tag. It was an honor to work with such witty staff like Kwang-soo and Ye-eun.” He added, “I hope to show a more relaxed and natural side of myself, different from what I've shown in other works. It was a new challenge, and I hope viewers enjoy watching it.” Previously, Byun Woo-seok mentioned on 'Pingkego' that he barely remembers the 2-night, 3-day shoot, saying, “I don't really know what we did. It just passed by in a blur.”

Ji Ye-eun also shared her hopes, saying, “I hope viewers enjoy watching our relaxed moments. It felt like the kind of retreat I imagined as a child, making it even more special. The unexpected charms of the guests and the naturally formed chemistry will be impressive.”

The production team focused on bringing both 'familiar chemistry' and 'new chemistry' when casting the staff to work alongside 'novice camp manager' Yoo Jae-suk. They stated, “The chemistry among the four was a perfect blend of 'familiarity and novelty'. The intense nature of the shoot brought them closer quickly, forming a 'real sibling chemistry' as they bickered and bonded. Look forward to seeing how their relationships evolve.”

'Yoo Jae-suk Camp' will release episodes 1-5 on May 26, followed by episodes 6-10 on June 2, exclusively on Netflix.
