Hwang Jae-gyun has directly addressed the topic of 'remarriage.' After marrying T-ara's Jiyeon in 2022 and facing multiple rumors of separation and divorce, Hwang officially divorced in October 2024.
On the October 1st episode of MBN and Channel S's variety show 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3,' episode 29, Jeon Hyun-moo, Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin), and 'food friend' Hwang Jae-gyun embark on a food trip to Mungyeong, indulging in a feast of 'Hanwoo & Yakdol Pork.'
The trio heads to a 'food alley' where a butcher shop and a dining setup coexist. They purchase high-quality 'two-plus' Hanwoo beef and pork fed with Yakdol feed, then proceed to grill the meat at the dining setup. While enjoying Hanwoo tenderloin and flower ribs, Hwang Jae-gyun repeatedly praises the quality of the meat, saying, “I often visit beef restaurants, but the quality here is truly exceptional.” During the 'real' food show that continues with Yakdol pork, Kwak Tube asks, “You're not at the age to retire from baseball yet, so why did you?” Hwang Jae-gyun pauses to think before candidly revealing his reasons for retirement.
The three also challenge themselves to an 'apple splitting' test to assess the 'grip strength' needed for baseball. Kwak Tube confidently steps up first, saying, “I think I can do it since I hold my baby for five hours every day,” but Jeon Hyun-moo, watching, quips, “It brings tears to my eyes. Later, Jeon Hyun-moo naturally steers the conversation towards remarriage, saying, “Tell us here~.” Hwang Jae-gyun admits, “I want to remarry, I'm open to it,” and confesses, “I want to have my own child.” He adds, “If I have a child, I'll definitely make them play baseball,” and provocatively claims, “Honestly, I think I'll get married faster than Hyun-moo.”
However, Jeon Hyun-moo hits a 'home run' with an unexpected comment, turning the scene upside down. Amidst their chaotic chemistry, the two also candidly reveal their ideal types. Hwang Jae-gyun shares, “I prefer someone tall,” while Jeon Hyun-moo says, “I like someone petite and cute,” showcasing their contrasting tastes.
