YG Entertainment Announces Debut of New Boy Group This Fall

YG Entertainment has unveiled detailed plans for the debut of a new boy group.

On the 30th, YG Entertainment posted 'BABYMONSTER, TREASURE, AND UPCOMING ROOKIES | YG ANNOUNCEMENT' on their official blog. Executive Producer Yang Hyun-suk introduced YG's major projects slated for the second half of the year.

Yang stated, "In a previous interview, I mentioned with subtitles that we plan to launch a new male group this fall." He added, "We are currently planning to introduce YG's new boy group in September, consisting of 5 members." This marks YG's first new boy group in six years, distinguishing itself from the larger ensemble of TREASURE with its five-member lineup.

Yang also mentioned, "We will gradually unveil new IPs and rookies planned by YG," hinting at the establishment of YG's new lineup, including the much-anticipated next girl group, tentatively named 'Next Monster.'

This year, YG announced a series of significant projects, including the release of new albums by BABYMONSTER and TREASURE, their active global promotions, and a world tour celebrating BIGBANG's 20th anniversary. Alongside the vibrant activities of existing artists, the emergence of new groups is expected to be a pivotal moment for YG's future.
