K-Pop Band LUCY Returns with Energetic Second Album 'Childish'
LUCY, consisting of members Shin Ye-chan, Choi Sang-yeop, Cho Won-sang, and Shin Gwang-il, will release their second full-length album 'Childish' on October 29 at 6 PM KST across various music streaming platforms.
The title track 'Overall Rating' is a song that member Cho Won-sang participated in writing, composing, and arranging. It features LUCY's signature energetic band sound and hopeful lyrics. The song reflects the desire to remain childlike, contrasting the world seen as a child with the adult world, using 'horns' as a metaphor for the things lost along the way.
In addition to 'Overall Rating,' 'Childish' includes five new tracks: 'Germination,' which speaks to the shining youth who continue to pursue their dreams despite the passage of time; 'Chameleon,' which questions the loss of one's true self through a blend of various genres; 'Porch Light (Feat. Nam Jae-hyun),' a promise to always be there for each other, reminding us of forgotten preciousness; and 'Goo Goo Jeol Jeol,' a witty take on the overload of a complex yet cute crush. The album also features re-recorded tracks from their mini-albums 'Crash' and 'Line,' now presented in 'Childish ver.' with Shin Gwang-il's vocals, completing a rich 15-track list.
'Childish' marks LUCY's first release in approximately 1 year and 8 months since their mini-album 'FROM.' in August 2024. Notably, it is their first full album since Shin Gwang-il's return from military service. The album connects with their first full album 'Childhood,' exploring the journey of maintaining one's true self and rediscovering childlike wonder amidst harsh realities, all delivered with LUCY's unique emotional touch. Cho Won-sang, who has led the production of all LUCY's albums since their debut, takes the helm as the main producer once again, with Shin Ye-chan, Choi Sang-yeop, and Shin Gwang-il also contributing to the songwriting and composition.
LUCY's second full-length album 'Childish' will be available on all major music streaming platforms at 6 PM KST.
