KBS 2TV's Thursday drama 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' follows the story of a city family led by Seong Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong) who find themselves in the remote and rustic area of Yeonliri. The family embarks on a comedic and heartwarming journey to return to Seoul. The fifth episode, aired on the 23rd, recorded a 1.5% viewership rating, a decline from the 2.0% of the fourth episode aired on the 16th.

In the drama, Im Joo-hyung (played by Lee Seo-hwan) displays a tsundere charm, showing hostility towards Seong Tae-hoon, a former 'Matstory' member, while secretly helping him. His actions, such as tending to Tae-hoon's neglected farm, reveal a different side to his character. His witty remark, "I didn't come out to help Seong Tae-hoon. I came out to exercise," brought smiles to viewers.

The episode ended with Im Joo-hyung checking CCTV footage to find the culprit who damaged Tae-hoon's farm, leaving viewers curious about his next move.

Seong Tae-hoon's youngest son, Seong Ji-goo (played by Yang Woo-hyuk), also shines as a character that brings smiles. His curiosity about farming introduces a quirky yet lovable charm. Additionally, his interactions with his father, such as questioning the local dialect at his new school and candidly telling his father, "You can just be yourself," add humor to the show.
