Kim Jong-kook (50) recently experienced the overwhelming popularity of BIGBANG's Daesung (36) and offered an apology.
SBS Plus's variety show 'The Way of the Macho Man in Kyushu' is a raw travelogue featuring instinct-driven adventures of extreme P-type males.
In the upcoming episode airing on the 28th, the cast visits a conveyor belt sushi restaurant after a workout, stacking sushi plates at lightning speed, leading to a hilarious realization. They end up consuming 73 plates, equivalent to 13 bowls of rice, leaving them in shock.
Later, Choo Sung-hoon, Kim Jong-kook, and Daesung visit a local horumon barbecue restaurant in Kagoshima, continuing their endless ordering spree. After devouring 20 servings of meat, they still feel hungry and suggest the production crew leave, resulting in only two cameras remaining to capture the scene. The cost of this epic eating spree remains a mystery.
Choo Sung-hoon, known for his 'wild' persona among the 'macho men,' showcases his extreme 'macho power,' earning the title of 'strange brother.' He stirs hot matcha with his fingers and flips meat on a charcoal grill with his bare hands, shocking Kim Jong-kook and Daesung.
Following Choo's lead, Kim Jong-kook and Daesung are startled by the heat, exclaiming, "Is this brother's finger nerve dead?" Choo's unbelievable 'macho instincts' continue to amaze.
Kim Jong-kook witnesses Daesung's global fanbase, with fans requesting photos and presenting limited edition album goods. One fan even displays a BIGBANG concert poster and bursts into tears upon seeing Daesung.
Seeing Daesung's international fame firsthand, Kim Jong-kook apologizes, saying, "I'm really sorry. I think I underestimated you." Daesung's popularity in Japan draws significant attention.
The production team commented, "The explosive chemistry between Choo Sung-hoon and Kim Jong-kook, along with Daesung's efforts to mediate, showcases the unique charms of these three macho men."
'The Way of the Macho Man in Kyushu' airs every Tuesday at 8:40 PM.
