Actor Yoo Ji-tae recently expressed his deep affection for his wife, Kim Hyo-jin.
On the 23rd, the YouTube channel 'Junho Jimin' released a video titled 'Hit Han Myeong-hoe Hard [One Meal Please~Street with Yoo Ji-tae]'. In the video, Yoo Ji-tae met comedian Kim Jun-ho and shared updates following his role in director Jang Hang-jun's film 'The King and the Clown'.
Kim Jun-ho asked if there was a change in income after 'The King and the Clown' surpassed 10 million viewers, to which Yoo Ji-tae clarified, "It's not a running guarantee or incentive structure." He added, "I'm grateful just to be able to live like this after struggling when I was younger." When asked who earns more between him and his wife, actress Kim Hyo-jin, he replied, "These days, I earn more because I'm more active," adding, "My wife is taking care of the children."
Discussing plans for a third child, he said, "We talked about having a daughter, but decided to be content as a father of sons in this life," and added, "Life with children is on a different level. The responsibility as a head of the family grows." Yoo Ji-tae named his wedding as his happiest moment, saying, "I'm a planner. From the moment we met, I had plans. I told her if we dated for three years, we should definitely get married, and we did so in five years."
Regarding his wife, Yoo Ji-tae said, "Hyo-jin is a bit different. She knows everything about me and is more than just comfortable; she's truly like family." He added, "She looked the most beautiful when she gave birth to our child. That's when I suggested having a third," bringing laughter. The caption 'Content as a father of sons in this life' appeared, indicating no plans for a third child.
Previously, in March, Yoo Ji-tae appeared on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' and acknowledged rumors that he gave up melodramatic roles because of his wife, Kim Hyo-jin. He said, "I'm an actor and tend to be serious. When I take on a role, I focus on it, but intense melodramas can be hard on her heart, so playing a villain is better."
Meanwhile, Yoo Ji-tae and Kim Hyo-jin married in 2011 and have two sons.
