Why Former SISTAR Member Soyou is Leaving Her $9,800-a-Month Hannam-dong Home
On the 24th, a video titled "Soyou's $9,800 Monthly Rent Home Tour" was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Lee Chang-seop & Jeo Chang-seop.'
In the video, Lee Chang-seop visits Soyou's home located in the upscale neighborhood of Hannam-dong, Seoul. The area, known for its embassies and security, impressed Lee, who remarked, "This is a symbol of wealth in Seoul."
Soyou's reason for moving was clear. She shared, "I thought I would get married while living here, but I no longer have plans for marriage. So, there's no need to stay here." She candidly expressed her views on marriage, saying, "If you love someone, you can just date. Why get married?"
The conversation also touched on the rent. When Lee mentioned the monthly cost of $9,800, Soyou clarified, "There's a misunderstanding. People think it's $9,200, but I moved in early, so it's lower." However, she added with a laugh, "The current rate is $9,800; it has increased."
Soyou praised the management services, saying, "If a light bulb goes out, they come and fix it immediately. I don't have to do anything." However, she also shared a recent unsettling experience, "A fan once came to my doorstep. Since then, I get anxious just hearing the doorbell. I won't disclose my new address."
Regarding her extensive shoe collection, Soyou explained, "During my time with SISTAR, I always wore high heels. I became obsessed with shoes and collected many." She shared her philosophy on decluttering, "When you throw things away, you should do it boldly to bring in good energy."
Soyou also mentioned that she is preparing for a new album while planning her move. She stated, "It's a hectic time, but I'm preparing for a new beginning."
