In the previous episode, Shin-Irang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) was left unconscious after being shot by the kidnapper, Detective Jo Chi-young (played by Lee Sang-woon). The episode ended with a chilling scene of Shin-Irang's soul separating from his body, facing a life-threatening cardiac arrest.
The teaser video released after the broadcast heightened the tension, showing Shin-Irang seemingly losing all memories of his past life, asking, "Who am I?" as he encounters the spirit of a young boy, Yoon Si-ho (played by Park Da-on). The desperate plea of Yoon Si-ho, "Please don't go, mister!" raises the question of whether this could be the miracle that brings Shin-Irang back to life.
Meanwhile, the villain Jo Chi-young, who shows no remorse even while in custody, continues to infuriate viewers. Despite his identity being exposed, he remains silent about the Yoon Si-ho case, exercising his right to remain silent. With Shin-Irang's memory lost and Jo Chi-young's lips sealed, the key to uncovering the truth is at risk of disappearing. Whether Shin-Irang can fulfill his promise to help the spirit find his mother is the main point of interest in tonight's episode.
Additionally, the mysterious connection of the victims all wearing 'yellow rain boots' adds another layer to the mystery. A photo found in Jo Chi-young's car shows a child, presumably his son, also wearing yellow rain boots. The reason behind targeting children wearing these boots and the truth Jo Chi-young is hiding piques curiosity.
