French Broadcaster Ida Daussy Opens Up About Divorce Struggles and Career Shift


French broadcaster Ida Daussy has shared her struggles following her divorce and the reasons behind her hiatus from television.

On the 22nd, the YouTube channel 'A-Class Jang Young-ran' released a video titled 'Ida Daussy's Secret to Success After Divorce and Remarriage (Jang Young-ran Shocked)'. In the video, Jang Young-ran visited Ida Daussy's home to seek advice for an upcoming trip to France.

During the conversation, Ida Daussy opened up about her difficult divorce process. She recalled, "After 16 years, I got divorced, and it was extremely tough," adding, "I didn't receive any child support during that time." She continued, "I had to take care of the kids on my own. They were excellent students, so I worked hard to provide them with a good education."

Ida Daussy also explained why her television appearances have become infrequent. She stated, "I became a full-time professor at Sookmyung Women's University to teach my children. As a professor, it became a bit awkward to work in entertainment," adding, "Currently, I am working as a professor and also with the French Chamber of Commerce in Korea."

She also spoke about her happy family life after remarriage. Having remarried a Frenchman seven years ago, Ida Daussy shared, "My current husband was a French friend I knew from the same village. Both of us went through divorces and often exchanged advice. Eventually, he made the first move in expressing his love."

When asked about her dreams by Jang Young-ran, Ida Daussy replied, "Having tasted the bitterness of life, I now want to enjoy it." She added, "Three years ago, my father passed away from stress-induced dementia. Having seen him live a wonderful life only to crumble, I want to enjoy life while I'm healthy."
