Kim Jong-kook (49) shared his thoughts on participating in an overseas travel variety show for the first time since getting married.
On the 21st, the press conference for SBS Plus's new variety show 'The Manly Way to Travel' was broadcast online. The event was attended by Choo Sung-hoon, Kim Jong-kook, Daesung, and PD Kim Jin-ho.
'The Manly Way to Travel' is a program that captures the travel stories of men who enjoy following their instincts. Directed by Kim Jin-ho, known for SBS's 'Law of the Jungle' and 'Jungle's Meal', the show is highly anticipated due to the dynamic trio's chemistry.
Kim Jong-kook, who had a secret wedding with a non-celebrity wife last September, shared his feelings about his first overseas travel show after marriage. He humorously said, "I think you know the answer to this question. For the family, it's really tough, but I went far away," pretending to wipe away tears.
He added, "We also want to work comfortably in Korea. But what can we do? We went and worked hard. I don't particularly enjoy overseas broadcasts, but I went to bring joy to many people. My wife told me to be careful," he joked.
PD Kim Jin-ho revealed, "It was fixed last fall, but while coordinating schedules, Jong-kook's manager frequently contacted me. Jong-kook kept asking when we were going," he exposed.
'The Manly Way to Travel in Kyushu' premieres on the 21st at 8:40 PM.
