Shim Hyung-tak Conquers First Hike with Son on 'The Return of Superman'
Shim Hyung-tak successfully completed his first hike with his son, carrying a 12kg load on his back, on the popular KBS2 show 'The Return of Superman'.

The 618th episode, aired on the 22nd, was themed 'Dad's Bucket List', featuring Shim Hyung-tak and his son Haru embarking on their first climb to the popular Baby Peak of Bulam Mountain.

From the start, Shim Hyung-tak's hike was no ordinary feat. To accommodate his son Haru, who has just started walking and cannot manage long-distance hikes, he prepared a specially designed hiking baby carrier.

With Haru weighing 12kg and the carrier adding another 2kg, Shim Hyung-tak had to carry a total of 14kg up the mountain.

As the slope became steeper, Shim Hyung-tak's breathing grew heavier. Despite sweating and struggling from the beginning, he never lost his smile for his son.

Feeling the weight on his shoulders, Shim Hyung-tak humorously remarked, "Is this the weight of being a father?" yet he continued his climb without stopping.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to being a reliable father, saying, "As Haru's weight increases, my shoulders will bear more, but I will work hard until then," expressing his sense of responsibility.

He added, "Even with heavy shoulders, I am happy. Having my wife and Haru by my side makes me the happiest," conveying his heartfelt affection for his family and warming the hearts of viewers.
