The group Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has taken Japan by storm with their latest release.
According to a report by Japan's Oricon on the 21st, TXT's 8th mini-album '7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stops in the Thornbush' sold 230,000 copies in its first week, topping the latest weekly album ranking (dated April 27, covering the period from April 13 to 19).
TXT has become the first overseas artist to consecutively top Oricon's weekly album ranking with 14 albums. They first reached the top of this chart in 2020 with 'The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY' and have continued to break their own records with each release, earning the title of 'the overseas artist with the most consecutive No. 1 albums' since 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child' in 2022.
The title track of the new album, 'Stick With You,' is also receiving a warm reception in Japan. It debuted at No. 3 on Oricon's 'Daily Digital Single Ranking' (dated April 13) and maintained the top spot on the Line Music daily song chart for four consecutive days (from April 14 to 17), showcasing the strong support from local fans.
The song is also showing signs of long-term success on domestic music charts. It shot to No. 1 on the Bugs daily chart on the day of its release and secured the top position on the weekly chart (covering the period from April 13 to 19). It also entered the 'Top 100' on Melon's weekly chart during the same period, indicating its steady popularity.
