On October 16, Lee Hye-jung's YouTube channel featured a video where comedian Kim Young-hee appeared in the 'Malja Grandma' concept to discuss various concerns.
During the episode, Lee shared an incident that occurred during a meal with her daughter and home shopping representatives. She recalled, "After finishing the meal, I called for a car. My daughter shouted at me in front of the waiting people, 'Mom, come out quickly.'"
She continued, "When I said, 'I need to pay,' my daughter yelled again, 'I said I'll do it!' At that moment, I felt a deep sadness. I thought I looked so pitiful in front of everyone."
Although Lee understood that her daughter's intentions were not malicious, she couldn't hide her hurt feelings. She expressed, "I'm not living off my children, so I was confused about why I felt so intimidated."
Reflecting on her life, she added, "In the end, the only thing that remains is your spouse. Betting everything on your children sometimes leaves you with regrets."
Previously, in December of last year, Lee shocked many by revealing that she had been estranged from her son for nearly a year due to business-related conflicts. At the time, she confessed, "I turned my back on my son, who is like my life."
