Comedian Hong Hyun-hee Embarks on a Whirlwind Day Trip to Fukuoka

Comedian Hong Hyun-hee took on the challenge of a whirlwind day trip to Fukuoka.

On the 17th, the YouTube channel 'Hong Hyun-hee and Jason's HongssunTV' released a video titled 'Not Excited at All'.

In the video, Hong Hyun-hee, at the strong urging of her husband Jason, embarked on a day trip to Fukuoka, Japan. She confessed, "Being type A, I had everything planned out, but it wasn't easy on my mind," and shared a laugh by revealing she woke up at "5 AM to catch the early flight."

When the production team commented, "You seem excited," Hong Hyun-hee candidly admitted, "I wasn't excited. I even hid against the wall in the bedroom, worried that Junbeom might wake up. I'm not usually like this, but I think I wanted to go."

Upon arriving in Fukuoka, Hong Hyun-hee enjoyed a variety of foods such as udon, sushi, and tempura, while keeping a busy schedule. She suggested, "Let's eat udon, go to Tenjin for sweet potato tempura, stroll through Ohori Park, move to Hakata, visit Uokura Sushi, and have squid sashimi."

Despite the physical demands, Hong Hyun-hee expressed satisfaction, saying, "It's physically tiring, but the air feels different, and it feels like my cells are coming alive. It's refreshing."

The trip also changed her perception of herself. Hong Hyun-hee stated, "I used to just follow Jason's well-laid plans, but I realized I'm also an independent and proactive person." She added, "It's true that you should have various experiences while you're young. These experiences will make me feel freer."

She also expressed satisfaction in enjoying the food, saying, "The squid sashimi is really delicious. I want to come back next week." However, she also expressed concern, "I want to bring my son, but I'm worried Junbeom might not have fun without his dad."

As the trip neared its end, Hong Hyun-hee reflected, "It felt like we were just running forward. If I come again, I want to enjoy it leisurely. I'm embarrassed about why I worried so deeply before." She emphasized, "There's no need to come with a heavy heart. Think of it as healing for yourself. If you don't start, you can't do anything."

However, there were some regrets. Hong Hyun-hee lamented not being able to try motsunabe due to time constraints, saying, "The departure inspection only took 5 minutes. I should have had a bite. But they say they sell motsunabe at the airport too," she smiled.

Upon returning, Hong Hyun-hee shared with Jason, "At the airport, two mothers in their 60s were traveling, and they said, 'It's not easy to travel alone at this age because of husbands and children.' One of them said, 'A day trip is like writing a poem, and a few days' trip is like writing a novel,' and it really resonated with me."

Hong Hyun-hee concluded, "It felt like a dream," adding, "Now I understand why my husband insisted I go. Time for myself is essential. I'll definitely go again," she said with a smile.
