Korean creator Cho Kogi has revealed his girlfriend of five years following his divorce from Youkkeip, and shared his thoughts on appearing on a TV show.
On the 17th, Cho Kogi posted a lengthy message on his social media, stating, "I really thought a lot about appearing on this show," along with several photos. In the photos, Cho Kogi is seen enjoying a date with his girlfriend on a cafe terrace. The couple also showed affection by taking a mirror selfie while hugging in a subway.
Another photo shows Cho Kogi's daughter, Solip, posing cutely with his girlfriend, both wearing bunny ear headbands. The three of them also took a group photo in front of a mirror, exuding a warm family atmosphere.
Cho Kogi explained, "(Appearing on 'X's Private Life') was not a decision I could make lightly. It was a place where my life and the people around me would be reflected, so I had to be more cautious." He added, "Despite that, I decided to appear because I wanted to show my true self without hiding anything." He continued, "Having fallen and risen once in life, I thought deeply and carefully. I plan to live more calmly and try to understand others by stepping back rather than clashing with them."
Previously, Cho Kogi appeared on TV Chosun's variety show 'X's Private Life' and introduced his girlfriend. He mentioned, "My girlfriend is unmarried, but she has been with Solip since she was 7 years old. Initially, Solip called her 'aunt,' but at some point, she started calling her 'mom.'" Youkkeip, Cho Kogi's ex-wife and Solip's biological mother, was aware of Cho Kogi's relationship and commented, "It was more intriguing than upsetting when my daughter called her 'mom' in front of me."
Cho Kogi and Youkkeip got married in 2016 due to a premarital pregnancy. They welcomed their daughter, Solip, just two months after their wedding but separated after four years. Cho Kogi's girlfriend, whom he has been dating for five years, has been working as the PD of his parenting channel for the past two years. Currently, Cho Kogi is raising his daughter alone.
