‘I Am SOLO’ Star Sunja Sets Firm Standards on Dating Etiquette
‘I Am SOLO, Love Continues’ star Sunja from the 24th season revealed her firm standards on dating.

On the October 16th episode of SBS Plus and ENA's reality show ‘I Am SOLO, Love Continues,’ a 2-on-1 date unfolded between Youngho from the 18th season and Sunja from the 24th and 25th seasons. The trio showed subtle differences in opinion right from the process of choosing a dining spot.

Sunja from the 24th season suggested having seaweed soup, to which Youngho expressed disappointment, asking, “Is there a reason it has to be that dish?” Ultimately, they went with Sunja's choice.

Youngho candidly admitted, “I wanted to have ribs too,” but later tried to lighten the mood by saying, “I think we made a good choice.”

During the meal, the conversation naturally shifted to their views on dating. When Youngho asked, “Is there a moment when your feelings for someone fade even if you like them?” Sunja did not hesitate to share her standards.

She firmly stated, “Even if Cha Eun-woo suggests splitting the bill, I wouldn't like it.” She clarified, “It's not about not wanting to spend money, but I dislike when someone approaches things too calculatively.” She added, “There are people who insist on taking turns every time. I would just naturally take care of it.”

Sunja emphasized, “Isn't dating supposed to be romantic and extravagant?” and added, “If you lack emotional or financial capacity, maybe you shouldn't be dating.” She made it clear that she is not attracted to people who are overly calculative.

In the studio, the hosts shared their interpretations and empathy. Defconn explained, “It's about not wanting to give the impression of pushing the bill onto the other person. If I pay, I pay; if you pay, you pay. It's not about splitting everything evenly.” Yoon Bomi agreed, saying, “It's about not liking to calculate while eating.”

Meanwhile, in a post-date interview, Youngho confessed, “I'm more curious about Sunja from the 25th season,” and admitted, “Sunja from the 24th season seems to be less of a consideration now.” In a subsequent one-on-one conversation, misunderstandings with Sunja from the 25th season were cleared up, leading to a more relaxed atmosphere between them.
