Karina, a member of the K-pop group Aespa, has announced her unexpected decision to pursue a driver's license.
On the 14th, Aespa's official YouTube channel released a video titled 'Practice Makes Perfect for Passing.' In the video, Karina visits a driving practice center to prepare for her driver's license. She documented her journey through the written and practical test preparations, taking each step diligently.
The reason behind Karina's desire to obtain a driver's license drew attention. She shared, "I still live with my grandmother. Recently, I read a book that included a story about going for a drive with a grandmother," adding, "Before my grandmother gets any older, I really want to take her for a drive in the passenger seat." She continued, "I couldn't just let time pass by. I'm going to get my license and take her for a drive," evoking a touching sentiment.
When asked by the production team where she plans to go once she gets her license, Karina replied, "I haven't thought about that yet." When the team suggested Yangpyeong, she responded, "Yangpyeong is too far. It could take me four hours to get there," but added, "If my grandmother has an appointment, I'll take her there."
Despite her busy schedule, Karina dedicated herself to studying and passed the written exam with a score of 85. Feeling confident after her success, she declared, "I have good motor skills. I'll ace the practical test too," showing her determination.
Previously, in August of last year, Karina shared a heartfelt post on her social media, saying, "I love my family. I was about to cry, but I couldn't because I had to review the edits," along with a photo. The photo showed her embracing flowers and a letter from her family, expressing her affection for them. The letter included a message of gratitude for living in the same world as a family and support for their third trip together, adding warmth to the moment.
Meanwhile, Aespa, the group Karina is part of, is currently on a live tour, meeting with global fans.
