IU Shares Behind-the-Scenes Moments from '21st Century Grand Lady'

Singer and actress IU has unveiled behind-the-scenes moments from the filming of '21st Century Grand Lady.'

On the 21st, the YouTube channel '이지금 [IU Official]' released a video titled 'Captured Kisses | Behind the Scenes of 21st Century Grand Lady.'

In the video, IU humorously shared from the set, "This is the prince's room, so I can't sit in the main seat and am sitting in the guest seat."

IU expressed her excitement about her new role, saying, "This is my first time playing a representative role. It seems to suit me, and I feel a sense of responsibility." When the production team mentioned, "You once said being a representative was your dream. It seems you're getting closer to it," IU responded, "Speak it into existence," drawing attention. She jokingly added, "Right now, I'm number one in rank," bringing laughter to the set.

On set, a staff member humorously commented to IU, who plays the character Seong Hee-joo, "I'm here to manage the personality controversy. Image making in progress," creating a cheerful atmosphere. IU joked, "A lot of the promotional team for Oppa Byun Woo-seok is here. Their staff matches the actors' height. We're the acorn team," causing laughter.

As filming continued, IU candidly shared the physical challenges. Wearing a velvet outfit in the hot weather, even at 1 AM with temperatures at 30 degrees, she said, "Today is another battle with sweat," expressing her struggles. She added, "If I had known, I would have tied my hair," showing a realistic reaction.

After filming the much-talked-about wall kiss scene, a staff member remarked, "It ended quicker than expected," to which IU humorously replied, "It's the ending scene and the first kiss scene, so it could have taken longer," giving a playful glare.

After wrapping up the shoot, IU continuously thanked the staff, saying, "Thank you," as she left the set.
