Kwak Min-sun's Agency Vows Legal Action Against Malicious Online Posts

Kwak Min-sun's agency has announced strong legal action against the spread of false information and malicious online posts. The move comes in response to abusive comments and defamation from some fans of her husband, soccer player Song Min-kyu's former team.

On the 14th, Starit Entertainment released a statement titled 'Strong Legal Action Against Malicious Posts Related to Artist Kwak Min-sun.'

Starit Entertainment stated, "We are taking all possible legal measures against the continuous spread of false information, threats, malicious posts and comments, defamation, personal attacks, and privacy violations concerning our artist Kwak Min-sun through online platforms and social media." They added, "We are collecting and reviewing evidence through our monitoring system and fan reports, and legal procedures are already underway against multiple posts and authors. We are identifying the authors and will hold them accountable, even if they hide behind anonymity."

The agency emphasized, "Despite previous requests for restraint through personal social media, similar actions continue on certain communities and platforms, and reports are still being received. The reproduction and dissemination of unverified rumors are also clear illegal acts." They continued, "We will maintain our current response strategy and strengthen all measures, including additional legal actions. We will respond firmly without leniency or settlements, and all secondary harmful acts, including comments, sharing, reprocessing, and dissemination, will be held legally accountable."

Starit Entertainment also stated, "We will regularly check the response status to protect our artist's rights and take additional measures swiftly if necessary." They added, "We prioritize the protection of our artist's dignity, rights, and honor, and we will do our best to foster a healthy fan culture and provide a stable environment for our artist's activities."

Kwak Min-sun recently updated her followers on the legal proceedings through her social media, stating, "Today, an additional 50 cases concerning false information, insults, personal attacks, and defamation have been added. Thank you to the law firm Jeonghyang for your help. I apologize for the volume. I appreciate any further reports." She clarified that her plea was directed at specific malicious commenters, not an entire group, and expressed her ongoing distress.

Kwak Min-sun married soccer player Song Min-kyu in December last year. Song transferred from Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors to FC Seoul this year. After FC Seoul defeated Jeonbuk 1-0 in a recent '2026 K League 1' match at Seoul World Cup Stadium, some fans targeted Kwak Min-sun's social media with abusive messages. Kwak revealed, "I received death threats like 'I'll kill you if I see you at Jeonju Castle' even the day before the Jeonbuk match." She also shared, "I woke up to find derogatory messages and severe insults. I stopped capturing them due to discomfort but continued to receive new DMs, which is exhausting. Please stop."
