Korean Broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu Wins Fourth Prize in Lottery Amidst Unpaid TV Appearance Fees

Korean broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu has won the fourth prize in the lottery.

On October 14, Jang shared on his Instagram, "I gifted a lottery ticket instead of flowers at Yumi's exhibition, and it won the fourth prize!" along with several photos.

The photos reveal Jang's confirmed win of 50,000 KRW (approximately $42 USD) from the fourth prize. Jang noted, "Interestingly, while I was checking the win with a QR code, a friend who won the third prize messaged me," highlighting that a friend also won, drawing attention.

Born in 1983, Jang Sung-kyu is 42 years old. He married artist Lee Yumi, a graduate of Ewha Womans University's art department, in 2014, and they have two sons.

Jang is currently awaiting payment for a TV appearance fee from a program that ended seven months ago. MBN's 'The Great Show: Taekwondo' has not paid the full appearance fees to the cast, nor has it settled the 100 million KRW (approximately $84,000 USD) prize money for the winner.
