Hyunsook, from the 26th season of 'I Am Solo', has uploaded a video titled 'Cherry Blossom Festival-like Pangyo Commute VLOG: Newlywed Couple's Weekend Life, Common Fights and Reconciliation' on her YouTube channel 'Honey Day'.
The video candidly captures the newlywed life of Youngsik and Hyunsook, who tied the knot this past January, in their apartment in Bundang. The couple chose practicality in the current real estate market and are living in a rented studio apartment, showcasing their ordinary yet special weekends as a working couple.
Their daily life is filled with the freshness unique to newlyweds, as they commute together on second-hand bicycles and visit a cat café, reflecting Youngsik's preferences. Hyunsook, wearing Youngsik's oversized shirt, enjoys the petal-strewn commute, expressing, "I can't remember a more delightful commute; everything from the weather to the breeze is perfect," creating a sweet atmosphere.
However, their peaceful newlywed life faced its first challenge with a minor argument. The conflict arose from a lack of communication while shopping for bedding. Hyunsook felt frustrated when Youngsik didn't respond immediately and kept his distance, explaining, "I called him to ask his opinion, but he was far away and slow to come, which made me frown for the first time and express genuine annoyance." Youngsik, on the other hand, felt that Hyunsook didn't ask for his opinion on the duvet he would use and assumed she would oppose his choice, so he waited patiently.
The conflict was resolved that evening with Hyunsook's sincere apology. Reflecting on her emotional reaction, she promised, "I won't take out my frustrations like that again." Youngsik reassured her, saying, "If there's something to be upset about, you should express it," but Hyunsook admitted, "You usually do well even when I just talk, so there was no need to express it with annoyance," extending a mature hand of reconciliation.
The couple did not end up together during the final selection of 'I Am Solo', but they reconnected after the show and developed into a real-life couple, culminating in their marriage this past January. Youngsik, born in 1984, is a talented game designer with a degree in physics from Korea University, while Hyunsook, born in 1987, is a U.S. attorney known for her intelligence and beauty. Their ability to wisely overcome everyday disputes in their respective professional fields continues to warm the hearts of many fans.
