Comedian Yang Sang-guk Shares Hilarious Proposal Mishap on 'A-ni Geun-de Jinjja!'
The episode featured actor Kim Sung-kyun alongside Yang Sang-guk, who is currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity thanks to his 'country bumpkin' character on MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo.' Yang, who has become a trending comedian, proudly stated, "I've lived my whole life as a country bumpkin, and now people are finally recognizing it. I don't have any days off these days; I'm quite busy."
Despite this, he humorously claimed to be a 'study abroad' student, saying, "I hated autumn because we had to harvest persimmons. I thought, 'I can't live in the countryside,' so I got permission to study in Changwon. It felt like moving from Seoul to New York," drawing laughter from the audience.
Yang attempted a joke, "The monk is right, there's a Buddhist spirit," but it fell flat. When Tak Jae-hoon teased, "Should we edit this out? The future of this edit is at stake," Yang, after some thought, requested, "Since I'm on a roll, please cut this one out. I'll work harder later," but it aired, causing laughter.
He reminisced about a proposal attempt, saying, "Even if I haven't married, I've proposed before. During my girlfriend's high school graduation, I did an event like an ad saying, 'Seon-young, I love you,' with a message congratulating her on her graduation."
Yang shared, "I posted 500 flyers in front of the school, but I never got a call. Other female students with the same name went wild, and another boyfriend claimed he did it, so I had to explain," expressing his frustration over the stolen event.
Reflecting on past relationships, Yang humorously revealed, "I thought I was dating a Seoul girl, but she was from Pocheon," causing laughter. When Tak Jae-hoon provocatively asked, "Have you kissed?" Yang jokingly replied, "Not yet," adding to the humor.
