Lee Sang-min, 52, revealed that he and his wife have undergone six rounds of IVF treatment.
On the October 7th episode of SBS's variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny,' Lee shared stories from his second year of marriage.
Introducing himself as a 'newlywed husband devoted to his wife,' Lee expressed excitement and anticipation for their upcoming first wedding anniversary. He surprised the studio by revealing that his wife's first impression reminded him of actress Kim Hee-sun.
Currently preparing for a child, Lee expressed his affection for 'Same Bed, Different Dreams' as a guidebook for married life. He shared, "I visited the doctor who appeared on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams' before. Including previous hospitals, we've undergone six rounds of IVF and eight egg retrievals. Going through six rounds of IVF takes a toll on the body."
Lee added, "With the mindset of trying a bit harder, we even visited a traditional medicine clinic in Gyeongju." He mentioned that since starting IVF, he has been diligent in self-care, including abstaining from alcohol.
Lee shared that he and his wife share every aspect of their lives, and he dreams of a future with their child, saying, "I imagine myself pushing a stroller while my wife enjoys shopping," with a bright smile. He introduced his wife as his 'problem solver,' confessing, "The one person who changed me, my wife."
Previously, Lee married Lee Hye-young in 2004, but they divorced after one year and two months. Last April, he registered his marriage with a non-celebrity 10 years his junior.
