Comedian Kim Shin-young has joined the cast of MBC's 'I Live Alone' as a new member.
On the episode aired on the 3rd, a preview featuring Kim Shin-young's daily life as a 14-year veteran of living alone was revealed.
In the video, Kim's home was filled with various items and clothing. She remarked, "This is my world. I thought, 'Let's buy while I can afford it.' I've collected things over time. If I sell all this, I could buy this house," showcasing her maximalist lifestyle.
Kim, who previously made headlines for losing 44kg and maintaining her figure without regaining weight, admitted to experiencing a weight rebound. She headed straight to the rice cooker upon waking, saying, "This is when I have the biggest appetite." She added, "I have my own routine. I eat healthily," as she indulged in a continuous eating show, drawing attention.
Despite being a homebody, Kim sets alarms, stating, "I don't want to let time just pass by," hinting at a planned day.
Meanwhile, Kim Shin-young stepped down from her role as the host of 'National Singing Contest' in March 2024, after being informed of an MC change 1 year and 5 months into her tenure, succeeding the late Song Hae. She later appeared on 'Radio Star' to share her recent venture of establishing a company related to her alternate persona.
Recently, 'I Live Alone' has been struggling with ratings, hovering around 4%. The latest episode, number 640, recorded a 4.4% rating, marking the lowest in five years. Following the departure of Park Na-rae and Key due to the 'drunken aunt' controversy, the show is in dire need of new members. All eyes are on Kim Shin-young to see if she can win over the audience as the new addition.
