Former Chungju Official Kim Seon-tae Takes on Yeosu Promotion with Wit and Humor

Former Chungju official Kim Seon-tae has recently taken on the role of promoting Yeosu's local government. On October 3rd, Kim Seon-tae's YouTube channel featured a video titled 'Yeosu Promotion.' In the video, Kim visited Yeosu Expo Station to promote the Jeollanam-do local government. He humorously remarked, "I've been to Yeosu a few times and even got overcharged by taxis," adding, "I'm here with Jeollanam-do Provincial Office and the Yeosu World Island Expo." Kim then met with Shin Yu-jin, an official from the Jeollanam-do Provincial Office, to explore Yeosu.

True to his background as a former Chungju City promotional officer, Kim asked pointed questions like, "Is the maintenance cost for the LED displays covered by national or provincial funds?" When told that the port authority manages it, he quipped, "Yeosu got a sweet deal. The port authority took the hit. It's like getting your nose cut off while your eyes are open," showcasing his sharp wit.

The Yeosu World Island Expo's promotional officer asked Kim for promotional tips, to which he candidly replied, "The mascot, Daseom, isn't particularly charming. At best, there might be a few fans at the city hall." When the officer mentioned that the character won an award last year, Kim humorously retorted, "Wasn't that from a biased organizer? They usually rent a hotel in Seoul for those things."

Upon seeing the expo's promotional truck, Kim exclaimed, "As someone from a promotional office, I know that when you request cooperation for such trucks, the vehicle department never gives you a good one. Is there even a TV inside? It's the worst." He then joked, "Who suggested promoting here? Do they have no sense?" leaving the scene in laughter.

The video received positive reactions from netizens, with comments like "Chungju City is completely out of it," "Chungju man's Yeosu promotion is intriguing," and "He's back in the public sector, and he knows a lot, so he's really on fire."

Previously, Kim Seon-tae launched his personal YouTube channel 'Kim Seon-tae' in March. The channel gained over 350,000 subscribers in just one day. As of 7 PM on April 3rd, the channel boasts 1.6 million subscribers.

Since launching his channel, Kim has uploaded a total of seven videos, all of which have surpassed 3.7 million views, causing a significant impact in the promotional industry. Following a collaboration with Woori Bank on March 20th, he has been actively promoting various sectors, including chicken brands and local governments.
