On October 2, Seo Dong-joo posted a video on her YouTube channel titled, 'Perhaps it's not yet time for me to become a mom. Chilbok, let's meet again next season!' In the video, she opened up about her recent loss.
Seo Dong-joo revealed, “After a missed miscarriage, I had a D&C procedure to let go of Chilbok (the baby's nickname). I tried everything to hold on, including daily injections, medications, and suppositories. I managed my diet, took supplements, and went for walks, but it seems it wasn't the right time yet.”
She continued, “Amidst the unfathomable sadness, there was a fleeting sense of relief that the long eight-week wait had ended. However, feeling this way made me feel selfish, which hurt me even more.”
Seo Dong-joo added, “One doesn't have to endure pain well to qualify as a mother, but I feel my heart growing stronger. Despite the fear, I still have the desire to try again.”
Seo Dong-joo is the daughter of the late TV personality Seo Se-won and Seo Jung-hee. She remarried in June last year to a husband who is four years her junior.
