MC Kim Poong Embraces Role as 'Spokesperson for Single Men' in New Dating Show 'DolsingNMosol'

MC Kim Poong, who has been married for eight years, has taken on the role of 'spokesperson for single men.'

The new variety show 'DolsingNMosol,' set to premiere on October 14 on MBC Every1 and E Channel, brings together 'dolsing' women who have been through a divorce and 'mosol' men who have never dated. In the unique setting of a 'dating boarding school,' these participants will embark on an unpredictable romantic journey to find their match. Kim Poong, known for his sharp insights and witty humor, joins the show alongside Chae Jung-an and Nucksal, completing the trio of MCs and adding energy to the program.

Kim Poong, stepping into the role of an observer in what is touted as the boldest dating show, shared his unique perspective on choosing to participate in 'DolsingNMosol.' He stated, "I believe that learning about love helps you understand people and, most importantly, yourself. That's why I enjoy raw and unfiltered dating programs." He further explained, "Dolsing and mosol are groups that rarely intersect in society, making this concept particularly intriguing for a dating show enthusiast like me."

Known for his keen psychological analysis, Kim Poong shared his impressions from the initial recordings, highlighting the unexpected traits of the participants. He noted, "Even though I've only seen the first couple of episodes, I found it fascinating that the mosol men weren't as passive as one might expect, and the dolsing women weren't entirely passive either." He added, "The dolsing women seem to approach the mosol men with a broader understanding, knowing their background, which makes the mosol men's awkwardness appear endearing rather than villainous. To me, they all seem cute and lovable."

Kim Poong expressed deep empathy for the inexperienced mosol men, hinting at his role as their 'spokesperson.' He confessed, "It's heartbreaking to see them struggle with how to act and express themselves to someone they like, having never learned or experienced it before. Their awkward language and behavior often appear, making me laugh and cry at the same time."

The behavior of the mosol men sparked heated debates among the three MCs. Kim Poong commented on his dynamic with Chae Jung-an and Nucksal, saying, "We often had differing opinions on the seemingly absurd or rude actions of the mosol men. I tended to side with the view that 'it's understandable if they've never experienced love.'"

'DolsingNMosol' premieres on October 14 at 10 PM.
