Heartbreaking Farewell: Park Jin-young and Kim Min-ju's Second Goodbye in 'Shining'
The clock has stopped once again for Park Jin-young and Kim Min-ju.

In episodes 7 and 8 of JTBC's Friday series 'Shining' (directed by Kim Yoon-jin, written by Lee Sook-yeon), which aired on the 27th, Yeon Tae-seo (played by Park Jin-young) and Mo Eun-ah (played by Kim Min-ju) faced a heart-wrenching second farewell amidst a tangled reality.

In episode 7, Yeon Tae-seo and Mo Eun-ah found themselves at a crossroads, each needing to make significant decisions. With his grandmother in the ICU, Yeon Tae-seo was busy traveling between Seoul and Yeonwoo-ri to care for his grandfather and younger brother, Yeon Hee-seo (played by Sung Yoo-bin). He decided to leave his job as a subway conductor, a choice he made for himself, and began preparing to become a railway conductor to be closer to his family.

Mo Eun-ah received news from her former partner and ex-boyfriend Bae Sung-chan (played by Shin Jae-ha) that she could resolve contract issues and resume operations at the Tongyeong Stay. However, having just started to feel happiness living in Seoul with Yeon Tae-seo, Mo Eun-ah decided to let go of the Stay, entrusted everything to Bae Sung-chan, and returned to Seoul to be by Yeon Tae-seo's side.

Ironically, a moment soon arrived that shook Mo Eun-ah's resolve. She lost her job at the Seoul Old House Stay, and issues arose with the house they had discussed living in, leaving her without a place to stay in Seoul. In the midst of this uncertainty, Bae Sung-chan informed her of his intention to handle the Stay, prompting her to pack her bags and head to Tongyeong, adding tension to the situation.

In episode 8, Yeon Tae-seo and Mo Eun-ah faced a painful farewell, unable to hold onto each other despite their love. Yeon Tae-seo accidentally met Mo Eun-ah's new stepmother, Park So-hyun (played by Kim Ji-hyun), in Yeonwoo-ri and learned that Bae Sung-chan had been by Mo Eun-ah's side for the past 10 years. This revelation led Yeon Tae-seo to call Mo Eun-ah, expressing his unease by suggesting they exclude Tongyeong from their future.

However, Mo Eun-ah was already in Tongyeong. Hesitant to respond to Yeon Tae-seo's words, she expressed her intention to explain in person. After meeting Yeon Tae-seo in Tongyeong, she candidly shared her feelings. Mo Eun-ah revealed her desire to personally conclude matters at the Stay and her determination to maintain their relationship despite being in Tongyeong. Yeon Tae-seo accepted her intentions.

After their conversation, Yeon Tae-seo returned to his daily life, only to hear that his grandmother's health had deteriorated rapidly. Seeking solace, he headed to Tongyeong, only to find Bae Sung-chan and Mo Eun-ah welcoming regular guests and taking a break. Witnessing this, Yeon Tae-seo swallowed his tears and returned to Yeonwoo-ri. Mo Eun-ah, realizing the reason for Yeon Tae-seo's visit, was left in shock.

Upon returning from seeing Mo Eun-ah, Yeon Tae-seo discovered that his grandmother's condition had worsened significantly, leaving him devastated. Reaching his emotional limit, Yeon Tae-seo stopped Mo Eun-ah from trying to resolve misunderstandings over the phone, suggesting they erase the past month from their lives, and Mo Eun-ah accepted the breakup.

The final chapter of Park Jin-young and Kim Min-ju's second farewell will unfold in episodes 9 and 10 of JTBC's Friday series 'Shining,' airing consecutively on April 3rd at 8:50 PM.
