Kickflip's Gaehoon Charms Kim Min-ji on 'Amazing Thursday'

Kickflip's Gaehoon made a flirty move towards Kim Min-ji, who gained popularity on 'Single's Inferno 5'.

On the October 26th episode of tvN's 'Amazing Thursday', the Yongga and Jeongga teams engaged in a fierce battle to win 'Jjagaechi' (a dish of instant black bean noodles topped with egg and cheese). After an intense showdown, Jeongga emerged victorious by a single coin.

Led by team leader Lee Yong-jin, Yongga, and team leader Jeong Yi-rang, Jeongga faced iconic songs from different eras. From BoA and Lee Jung-hyun, who dominated the 2000s, to national singer IU, the teams tackled dance hits as well as trot songs like Park Sang-chul's 'Unconditionally'. The diverse genres resonated with viewers of all ages, adding excitement to the show.

Jeongga's Kickflip member K-Ju shone in the 'Bangku Karaoke'. Born in 2006 and a Japanese member, he was initially taken aback by unfamiliar Korean songs but confidently guessed the blanks. His humorous incorrect answer to 'Unconditionally' had everyone laughing. Gaehoon, too, claimed to know every song but hilariously revealed his ignorance once the music started.

Both teams aimed for the 'Jjagaechi', worth a whopping 100 Boom Coins, with only one team allowed to order the dish. In the 'Singku Karaoke', worth 40 Boom Coins, Lee Jae-yul surprised with Silica Gel's 'No Pain', while Gaehoon and K-Ju performed Kim Sung-jae's 'As I Say', showcasing both performance and vocal skills.

After the JYP Entertainment idols Gaehoon and K-Ju's performance, Shin Hyun-woo revealed, "Min-ji noona said she wanted to put Kickflip's performance in her pocket," surprising everyone with Kim Min-ji's genuine admiration. Gaehoon (21) then created a spontaneous flirty scene reminiscent of a youth drama, capturing Kim Min-ji's (29) heart. He also impressed Ye-won with a clever acrostic poem confession.

As the teams fiercely competed, Jeongga took the lead in the 'Singku Karaoke'. With Jeongga accumulating 100 Boom Coins, the 'Bangku Attack Karaoke' became the final battleground. They sang FT Island's 'Love Sick' and Koyote's 'Pure Love', attacking each other without hesitation.

Yongga opted to eat dumplings first, leaving Jeongga to fight alone and ultimately claim the 'Jjagaechi'. Jeongga not only won the dish but also the overall victory, edging out Yongga by just one coin. Gaehoon and K-Ju were named VIPs, leaving a lasting impression with their confident rookie spirit.

The intense showdown between Yongga and Jeongga on 'Amazing Thursday' airs every Thursday at 8:40 PM.
