'Nuruuk', which has been invited to prestigious film festivals such as the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, Seoul Independent Film Festival, and Ulju Mountain Film Festival, will be exclusively released at Megabox theaters. The film tells the unique story of an 18-year-old girl named Daseul, the daughter of a famous local brewery, who embarks on a journey to find the missing 'nuruuk', a key ingredient in makgeolli, after noticing a change in its taste. Following Jang's directorial debut with the short film 'Be My Ears' in 2023, audiences are eager to see how his deep and delicate direction and fresh storytelling will unfold in this new project. 'Nuruuk' stands out for its focus on the traditional Korean ingredient, offering a narrative rarely seen in domestic cinema.

The teaser poster released alongside the announcement features the line "Can I find my world again?" and shows Daseul (played by Kim Seung-yoon) clutching a bottle of makgeolli, sparking curiosity with its fresh combination of a high school girl and the traditional Korean drink.

'Nuruuk' also features contributions from producer Lee Tae-dong, known for 'Jojoso' and 'Chief Kang', and stars Kim Seung-yoon from 'Please Take Care of the Five Eagles!', 'Traveler's Needs', 'Underwater', and 'Lucky Chan-sil', Song Ji-hyuk from 'Trigger' and 'S-Line', and Park Myung-hoon from 'Parasite' and 'Crash Landing on You'.

'Nuruuk' will be exclusively released at Megabox on April 15.
