Comedian Yoon Taek revealed that his father is battling terminal bile duct cancer.
On the October 25th episode of tvN's variety show 'You Quiz on the Block', episode 336, Yoon Taek and Lee Seung Yoon appeared as guests to celebrate the 700th episode of 'I Am a Natural Person'.
During the show, Yoo Jae Suk asked, "I heard that meeting natural people of your parents' age during the filming of 'I Am a Natural Person' reminds you a lot of your father."
Lee Seung Yoon responded, "It does remind me a lot. We didn't have much growing up, living in a single room. My father worked tirelessly at construction sites, coming home covered in dirt every day," he recalled. "Yet, he never let me feel lacking, always providing good food, clothes, and shoes."
He continued, "One day, I noticed my father's shoes were so worn that I could see his socks through the heels. I've been doing 'I Am a Natural Person' for 15 years now, and my father passed down the legacy of diligence to me," expressing his respect.
Yoon Taek, with tears in his eyes, shared that his father is in the final stages of bile duct cancer, saying, "There isn't much time left." He added, "It's so hard to hold back tears every time I face my father. He says he will go peacefully, but it's heartbreaking. There's nothing I can do," as he wiped away his tears.
Yoon Taek reflected, "I think the time I was doing 'I Am a Natural Person' was the happiest moment in my father's life because everyone liked me." He continued, "He was happiest when he could proudly say at a restaurant, 'Do you know 'I Am a Natural Person'? Yoon Taek is my son.'"
