Actress Park Min-young, who previously sparked health concerns with her extreme weight loss for her role in 'Siren,' has put those worries to rest with a healthier appearance.
On the 24th, the 132nd episode of the YouTube web show TEO 'Salon Drip' was released, featuring a video titled 'Riding the Salon's Wind, Park Min-young and Wi Ha-joon Set Sail!' In this episode, Park Min-young and Wi Ha-joon, stars of the tvN weekend drama 'Siren,' appeared as guests.
During the show, Park Min-young shared a harrowing experience while filming an underwater scene for 'Marry My Husband.' She said, "I had to jump in without a respirator and pull my friend out, but my friend kept resisting. I filmed it myself without a stunt double."
She continued, "I have poor eyesight, so I removed my lenses and followed the faint light. As soon as I surfaced, I felt like I was going to die. I was light at the time, so I had to attach weights, which made it slow to come up. Filming that scene made me realize how tough acting can be." Park Min-young had previously revealed that she lost weight down to 37kg for her terminally ill character in 'Marry My Husband.'
When asked why she didn't use a stunt double, Park Min-young explained, "It would be too obvious," adding, "I'm good at swimming and work hard, but after that, I stopped saying I'm good at swimming. Now, when asked if I'm good at any sports, I say I'm not." Her comments elicited laughter.
Last September, during the 'Confidenceman KR' press conference, Park Min-young's gaunt appearance led to health concerns. She addressed these on social media, stating, "I'm currently dieting healthily for the 'Siren' character. Although I've lost a bit more due to a hectic schedule, I'm healthy. I'm eating three meals a day, so please don't worry."
