Actor Park Sung-woong Opens Up About 'Villain Role Aftereffects' on KBS2's 'Problematic Men in the Rooftop Room'

Actor Park Sung-woong reveals his story of visiting a psychiatrist due to 'villain role aftereffects'.

On the upcoming October 26th episode of KBS2's 'Problematic Men in the Rooftop Room', actors Park Sung-woong and Lee Soo-kyung from the KBS2 Thursday drama 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' will appear as guests.

During the broadcast, Park Sung-woong, who has earned the title of 'villain specialist' with his overwhelming charisma in films like 'New World' and dramas like 'The Hunting Dogs', confesses that he “went to a psychiatrist on his own” after playing villain roles.

Having portrayed brutal scenes of killing people with a knife, Park was so worried about 'what if I hurt people with a knife' that he even asked his wife, actress Shin Eun-kyung, to remove all knives from their home. The curiosity arises about what actions Park took to overcome the difficulties that led him to seek psychiatric help due to villain role aftereffects.

Currently residing in Daechi-dong, known as the 'center of education in Korea', Park Sung-woong reveals his sweet side as a 'Daechi dad', contrasting with his chilling on-screen persona. With a son studying at an international school aiming for overseas university admission, Park shows his caring fatherly side by saying, “I told him it's okay not to study well to avoid burdening him.”

However, it is reported that Park humorously burst out in the rooftop room when he realized his son took his words literally. He also shared a story of shedding tears while disciplining his son when he was younger, showcasing his doting father side. The parenting philosophy of 'Daechi dad' Park Sung-woong, who oscillates between hot and cold, will be revealed on 'Problematic Men in the Rooftop Room' airing at 8:30 PM.
