Actor Kim Byung-se (63) has announced that he and his wife, who is 15 years his junior, have decided to stop their five-year-long IVF treatment. He explained that his wife's health is more important, leading to this decision.

On the SBS variety show 'My Ugly Duckling' aired on the 22nd, the daily life of Kim Byung-se and his wife, who married in 2019, was revealed.

Kim Byung-se is currently living in the United States with his younger wife. Their Los Angeles home, a 300-pyeong mansion, recently gained attention after being showcased on his personal channel. On the show, Kim and his wife invited Kim Seung-soo and Lim Won-hee to their residence in Korea.

Regarding his visit to Korea, Kim Byung-se stated, "My wife's company has an office in Korea. We come here for marketing work and to enjoy good food."

Overcoming a 15-Year Age Gap: Their First Meeting

The couple met through a mutual acquaintance, and Kim proposed just 100 days after falling in love at first sight. His wife shared, "After two years of marriage, I realized he is my ideal type from my younger days. He's like a friend and the most diligent person I've ever met."

Kim Byung-se expressed his affection, saying, "I can't find any flaws in her. She has no shortcomings when she's with me." When asked if they still kiss, Kim replied, "Once when we wake up, once at each meal, and once before bed."

Why They Stopped IVF After 5 Years

The couple revealed they had been undergoing IVF treatment to have a child. Kim Byung-se explained, "We even stayed for six months at a time for the treatment. We did IVF for five years, but now we've stopped."

He continued, "Because of our age difference, I wanted her to have a part of me with her if I go first, but it didn't work out. During the process, her health deteriorated, so we decided to stop. She's the most important to me." His wife added, "We did it for about 4-5 years, but we're not doing it anymore."
