The story of a 29-year-old woman, who once weighed 92 lbs and was compared to actress Shin Se-kyung, but now weighs 280 lbs, will be revealed.
On the October 23rd episode of KBS Joy's 'Ask Anything', a woman who was once told she resembled actress Shin Se-kyung visits the show, troubled by her drastic weight gain.
The woman shares that she was told she looked like Shin Se-kyung when she weighed 92 lbs, but now, at 280 lbs, she is worried about regaining her former beauty. Lee Soo-geun, upon seeing her past photos, reacts with surprise, saying, “No way! Regardless of Shin Se-kyung, you were beautiful.”
How Did She Go from 92 lbs to 280 lbs?
When Lee Soo-geun asks, “How did you gain weight up to 280 lbs?” the woman explains, “After failing to get a job at 24, I became addicted to delivery apps, leading to rapid weight gain.” She reveals that she frequently orders pastries like croissants, bagels, and whole cakes, having them delivered twice a day, totaling four meals, which shocks the hosts.
The woman admits that her failed diet attempts have lowered her self-esteem, leading her to undergo cosmetic procedures and continuously purchase beauty products.
Seo Jang-hoon's Stern Advice
Seo Jang-hoon, after hearing her story, says, “If you're struggling to climb three flights of stairs, it's a sign that your body is already in trouble,” adding, “Even a baker's daughter doesn't eat a whole cake every day. It's strange not to gain weight eating a whole cake daily.”
Seo Jang-hoon emphasizes, “You need to be reborn from today. I'm not saying you need to go back to 92 lbs, but your current weight is not okay.” He advises, “When you go to a cosmetics store, walk there no matter how long it takes, and reduce your meals to two a day. Even that will initially lead to significant weight loss.” He adds, “To reach your desired weight, you'll need professional help. If you can't commit to that, then just live as you are.”
Lee Soo-geun also advises, “First, get a health check-up. You'll realize more once you see the results,” stressing the importance of prioritizing health.
